A Multi-Server Retrial Queueing Inventory System With Asynchronous Multiple Vacations

This article deals with asynchronous server vacation and customer retrial facility in a multi-server queueing-inventory system. The Poisson process governs the arrival of a customer. The system is comprised of c identical servers, a finite-size waiting area, and a storage area containing S items. The service time is distributed exponentially. If each server finds that there are an insufficient number of customers and items in the system after the busy period, they start a vacation. Once the servers vacation is over and it recognizes there is no chance of getting busy, it goes into an idle state if the number of customers or items is not sufficient, otherwise, it will take another vacation. Furthermore, each server's vacation period occurs independently of the other servers. The system accepts a (s, Q) control policy for inventory replenishment. For the steady state analysis, the Marcel F Neuts and B Madhu Rao matrix geometric approximation approach is used owing to the structure of an infinitesimal generator matrix. The necessary stability condition and R matrix are to be computed and presented. After calculating the sufficient system performance measures, an expected total cost of the system is to be constructed and numerically incorporated with the parameters. Additionally, numerical analyses will be conducted to examine the waiting time of customers in the queue and in orbit, as well as the expected rate of customer loss.Comment: 43 pages, 12 figures, 5 table

Embedded systems are becoming an inevitable part of any product or equipment in all fields including household appliances, telecommunications, medical equipment, industrial control, consumer products etc. The field in which embedded systems place on important role is the Robotics. The evolution of robotics is from line following robot which follow the line and reach the target. An advancement is added to the above is obstacle detection. Manual operation was introduced to navigate the robot for pick & place an object. From the inspiration of above technologies, a new navigation method for indoor robot system is proposed. The proposed system composed of a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tag sensor, a LCD Module, a Buzzer and Ultrasonic sensors. RFID tags are used to track the items like cows, railroad cars and airline luggage, that were shipped over long distances. If the obstacle is in front of the vehicle it automatically changes the direction and it also estimates the distance and direction, which is important for the robot after detecting a target

    Get PDF
Because of huge volume of user-produced data on social networking services, the study subjects on reducing the data overload difficulty and finding functional understanding have attracted much attention within the recent occasions. A great deal of systems suggested strategies to construct a number of kinds of summaries on comment streams.  Within our work we concentrate on comment stream added for just one message on social networking services and goal to create immediate review of comments. For each one of the social message, our most significant purpose would be to cluster comments by related content together and convey a tight opinion summary intended for this message. Hence we advise an Incremental Short Text summarization approach that may incrementally update clustering results by newest incoming comments instantly. This suggested approach has the capacity to preserve clustering consequence of earlier phase, and also to incrementally update clustering result by way of recently-incoming comment. The suggested product is almost parameter-free and may handle outlier problem also it can generate clustering results by newest incoming comments instantly

    Get PDF
The hazard to public health from lead continues to be a matter of concern. It is one of the most serious environmental poisons among the toxic heavy metals all over the world. Lead poisoning is seen in all age groups, especially in adults working in lead-based industries. We report the case of a 28-year-old man working in an unorganized lead-based manufacturing unit admitted with the complaints of giddiness, excessive tiredness, pain in the upper abdomen, decreased appetite, excessive body pains, increased sweating, and oliguria. Investigations carried out during the admission showed hemoglobin levels of 8.5 g/dl and blood lead level (BLL) of 115 μg/dl. The patient was subjected to chelation therapy. After repeated course of chelation therapy, he has shown the signs of improvement. The paucity of a safe workplace and awareness among workers results in high BLLs. Therefore, education and awareness related to lead hazards is considered necessary
